The Story Behind...

Castellano Beltrame was born in South Africa, just short of 40 years ago, through the impetus of the two Italian families from which it bears its name. The company produces high quality passamenterie for interior décor and ribbons for fashion and confectionery.

From humble beginnings, starting as a small family business, the company has grown to be one of the leading international Trimmings manufacturers.

At Castellano Beltrame, we believe in innovations following the principle that passamenterie is a prestige item in a household and therefore it ought to be at the forefront of fashion design and colouration. Trimmings ought to leave a lasting impression in the home décor environment. So it is important that they re-innovate themselves following the trends in furnishing fabrics, textures and colours.

We at Castellano Beltrame are very aware that preferences change from country to country and heritage to heritage. By exporting to 60 different countries we want to be influenced by these different tastes. This osmosis gives us an opportunity to interpret decoration, with new designs and textures, year in and year out. It is a fashion parade with which we want customers stimulated by the unconventional. Naturally, a classic design has its place, although it too has to update itself with the new colour trends and textures.

Castellano Beltrame offers 100 different ranges of products to cover as many different directions as possible. We believe in customisation of ranges and not just mass production. Trimmings are a work of love and a work of passion with all the intricacies of tens of thousands of components that make them up. A part of the team is dedicated to contract work in conceptualising the need of that particular contract, both in sampling and execution. The latest fibres and methods of flameproofing are adopted to guarantee the maximum acceptance in an evermore stringently precautionate hospitality environment.

A total in excess of 300 000 different items are forming the kaleidoscope of the ranges presented. To organise the showroom floor in no small task.
